Getting between Seattle and the Eastside is about to get much easier thanks to Sound Transit’s new Crosslake Connection

On Saturday, March 28, the Link light rail’s 2 Line will begin service between Seattle and Bellevue, Redmond and more, including opening two new light rail stations at Judkins Park and Mercer Island

While we do not operate the Link light rail, we want to help spread the word about this Sound Transit project because it’s a great way to skip the traffic and avoid the stress of parking.

Sound Transit is already doubling the number of trains moving between Lynnwood and Chinatown-International District in Seattle.

Trains now arrive up to every four minutes during peak periods!

Learn more about this new feature on ORCA’s website.

Of course, you can still tap your Orca Card to pay too.

If you prefer a ticket on your phone, there’s always the Transit GO Ticket app, available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

You can also pay for the light rail at a ticket machine. Every light rail station has one, and they take cash.

Anyone 18 and younger rides public transit for free in Seattle, including the Link light rail and King County Metro buses.

Some adults may qualify for reduced fares as part of the ORCA LIFT program.

Also new: 3 light rail stations in South King County

In December last year, Sound Transit opened three new light rail stations south of Angel Lake, connecting Seattle to more locations in South King County. Those stations are:
